Easter

Last week we went with Pres. L and ran a couple miles.  Elder Caldwell bought some running shoes so he can do some workouts in the morning on the track. 

One of the members that just came back to activity from the do not contact list was called as a ward missionary to work with us one day a week which should be really good.

I got a package this week from the family for Easter/Birthday!  That was nice.  There was some food in it and they sent a bag of waffle mix that had a hole in it.  So everything was covered in flour, but that’s ok I cleaned everything off and it was fine – it just looked like a bomb went off!

We went and saw the B family this week.  Their 10 month old daughter had open heart surgery following birth and she has a respiratory infection and pneumonia right now.  She’s at the tail end of it and recovering.  We gave her a blessing. 

The weather's been great, 65 degrees and warm breezes - makes it nice to be outside tracting.  We tracted the trailer park across the street from Bro. L and got four new investigators – all Hispanic.  Then we have a bunch of appointments with potentials set up in the next few days also with Hispanic contacts. We had a great lesson with a woman we knocked into, her name is V.  She’s catholic but doesn't have a great knowledge of the scriptures or anything.  She really wants to hear the word of God taught so we had a great lesson – she got teary eyed a couple times talking about trials in her past and how God performed miracles in her life.  We've got a return appointment with her.

We were filled to capacity at church with Easter services.  Tons of people were there which was great.  We taught gospel principles on obedience.  There was a potential investigator there.  One of the members had brought a friend and given her a Book of Mormon.  We asked her if we could come by, she’s going to check with her sister who she lives with and get back to us.  She’s going to come to General Conference next week so there’s a lot of potential there.
